The Saskatoon Road Runners Association (SRRA), the organization that presents the annual Saskatchewan Marathon in Saskatoon, recognized some its partner agencies with cash donations on July 21st, 2010. During Brainsport’s regular Wednesday Running Club, members of the 2010 Sask Marathon Organizing Committee made the following presentations:

Members of the church congregation generously decided to forego their regular Sunday service and to instead volunteer at the Sask Marathon on Sunday, May 30th.

Message from the President of SRRA, Lorrie Dobni

On behalf of the SRRA, I would like to congratulate everyone for participating in the Saskatchewan Marathon on Sunday! With record participation of 2,797 registered this year, the new challenging course, a world class guest speaker, a Marafun for kids, and a new venue with a bigger expo, it was a very exciting and busy weekend. Even the rain stopped long enough for all the participants to finish dry! Thank you to all of our supporting sponsors for their generous contributions. Our primary sponsors again this year were Brainsport, adidas and Streetscape Homes. A BIG thank you to all the volunteers! As one participant put it, "the volunteers in this event are ace". We could not do it without your hard work and enthusiasm. Once again, thank you to everyone: participants, volunteers, spectators and organizers! Well done!

Congratulations & Thanks from the Race Director Team!

The Saskatchewan Marathon has entered a new era with more than 2800 registrants this year -- an unprecedented number for this Saskatoon event. Despite a pretty soggy set up day, Marathon day was relatively pleasant with close to 400 volunteers who showed up on race day to make sure the event went off as planned. We sincerely appreciate you braving the elements for site set up and your continuing determination to make the Saskatchewan Marathon such a great success.

Thanks to the City of Saskatoon administration and councillors for your support in helping make us this event happen. Thanks to our suppliers who come out rain or shine, our sponsors and partners who help us out financially and with in kind support.

And last but not least, congratulations to all the winners and participants of the 2010 Saskatchewan Marathon. Your tenacity and spirit are why we all do this, and we are all so proud and pleased to play a part in helping you reach your fitness goals.

Although running is an individual sport that takes true character and gritty determination, putting on the SaskMarathon takes a committed team that works together all year. The spirit and perseverance that was displayed this year was truly exceptional.

Thank you to everyone and we will see you next year on Sunday May 29, 2011 for the 33rd running of the Saskatchewan Marathon.

Kim Ali, Race Director
