The 34th Annual Saskatchewan Marathon date has been set!  Mark your calendars for Sunday, May 27th as your 2012 race day.  Last year's Saskatchewan Marathon saw record numbers in each of the running categories. The enthusiasm of our participants, volunteers, and spectators contributes to the success of this fantastic event each year.  Check back often for updates and announcements on the 2012 Saskatchewan Marathon.

Exciting News From CRAVEN S.P.O.R.T. Services

 

CRAVEN S.P.O.R.T. Services is a leader in the delivery of holistic health management both online and in person.  As part of their sponsorship of the 2012 Saskatchewan Marathon, CRAVEN S.P.O.R.T. Services has put together a great package for all registered participants of the 2012 Saskatchewan Marathon.  Beginning January 30, 2012, all registered participants will be provided with access to THI (Total Health Interactive) website for information on training, nutrition and conditioning.  And our friends at CRAVEN will develop some cool challenges and fun activities to make your training enjoyable.  AND AS A SPECIAL INCENTIVE – all Marathon early bird registrants will have access to an online Marathon training program to run your best Marathon race.  This tool includes advice on nutrition, training and conditioning.

So register early to access all these great supplementary programs to help round out your training for this year’s event.

 

 

Pasta Dinner Guest Speaker Announced

Join fellow Sask Marathon participants at the Pasta Dinner on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. at TCU Place.  We are very excited to announce that Running USA Hall of Champions inductee Bart Yasso will be our special guest speaker this year!!  Perhaps most notably, Yasso invented the Yasso 800s, a marathon-training schedule used by thousands around the world.  He is one of the few people to have completed races on all seven continents from the Antarctica marathon to the Mt. "Just have to tell you folks in SK how much we luv/enjoy the green technical shirts we rec’d last year……totally luv everything about them…..great compliments about them from folks in Riding Mtn National Park and in Arizona !!…….just had to share.  Although my friend and I can’t make it back this year to the ‘toon, we have told many here in MB about it….so well-organized, great route, great people, good dinner/speaker the night before.
